Throughout the summer of 2013, Aberdeen
hosts a variety of colourful parades, vibrant street markets and country fairs,
circus, galas, fun days and exciting fun filled events to suit all the family…
June 2013
Aberdeen's Highland Games
16th June
10am - 5.30pm
Hazelhead Park
The event takes place in the
Games Field at Hazlehead Park and always on the third Sunday in June
(16th June 2013). Aberdeen's Highland Games celebrated it's
50 year at the 2010, the games are now looking to enhance the event in future
years. The Games are an integral part of the Grampian Games circuit and
delivered under the auspices of the Scottish Highland Games Association.
The event delivers a traditional programme of Highland Games
including Scottish 725kg Tug-o-war Championship, heavy and light events, track
and field events, dancing, pipe bands and solo piping competitions. There is
also a full programme of family entertainment, trade and charity stalls, a fun
fair, catering and a beer tent.

Armed Forces Day
29th June
An opportunity to come and support our Armed Forces and
Veterans in a celebration in the heart of the city. Members of the Armed
Forces, past and present will come together in a parade to highlight the
diversity and uniqueness of our service personnel.
Massed pipes and drums, over 40 veteran associations, serving
personnel from The Army, The Royal Air Force and The Royal Navy, Sea, all three
cadet organisations and vintage military vehicles will feature in one of largest
parades down Aberdeen's premier thoroughfare, Union Street.

Inspired by the legend of 'The 12 chairs', the new show takes us on an incredible journey in the company of, without a doubt the greatest circus performers on earth.
A Mammoth cast of Russia's greatest and most talented circus artistes, many of which have never performed in Britian, transform the most famous circus in the world, combining contemporary & classical circus in way never before witnessed.
